In March of 2020, Dr. David Brownstein did not stop treating his patients and he told his frightened staff when they asked when they would be closing the office, “Why would we close the office, we’ve got therapies for viral illnesses. We’ve been doing these therapies for over two decades.” He posted his life-saving treatments online and continued treating patients as he always had – but he did so in the parking lot of his Michigan office, short 40 percent of his staff.
Lacking the knowledge of any responsible local health resources in Lincoln for treatment in the spring of 2020, I came across Dr. Brownstein’s office, online.
Brownstein was targeted later in 2020 by the FTC for posting treatments for respiratory symptoms, like those alleged in Covid-19. The therapies he used included oral vitamins, iodine, nebulized diluted hydrogen peroxide and iodine, IV dosing of vitamin C and hydrogen peroxide, and injections of ozone. He removed the targeted information from his website but continued to treat up to 750 such patients having only 11 patients hospitalized and no deaths.
In November 2021, Dr. Brownstein presented “A Novel Approach to COVID-19 Using Nutritional and Oxidative Therapies” to the Weston A. Price Foundation’s Wise Traditions 2021 conference in Allen, TX. He began his talk by noting that he and the other 4 practitioners in his office have no recollection of loosing a patient to the flu in their over 20 years of practice.
And, after 6 months into practicing medicine I realized I don’t like this. I’m just giving drugs to treat the symptoms of an illness and I’m having to give more drugs to treat the side effects from those drugs. I said ‘I can’t do this for 25 years.

Dr. Brownstein’s story was this, “My turning point came when I was 6 months into my practice of medicine, conventional medicine, I was doing what I was taught. We never took a vitamin in my household… I wasn’t trained on any of that stuff, and we didn’t do any of that stuff. We went to the doctor whenever we were sick, and we took whatever the doctor told us to take, and we didn’t question anything. And, after 6 months into practicing medicine I realized I don’t like this. I’m just giving drugs to treat the symptoms of an illness and I’m having to give more drugs to treat the side effects from those drugs. I said ‘I can’t do this for 25 years.’ And, the short end of the story is, a patient ended up giving me a book, a nutrition book, and I read that book, and my dad was really sick with heart disease and from what I read in the book I gave my dad a couple of things and his 25 years of angina went away in 7 days. His cholesterol in the 300’s fell to below 200 without changing any of his bad habits. He looked better, he acted better. I no longer thought he was going to die at any moment. And, I decided I wanted to be a holistic doctor, even though I didn’t really know what it was. I’m still working at it today.”
After telling this story, an audience member asked him for the name of the book he referenced, and he replied, “Healing with Nutrition, by Jonathan Wright, MD. That was the first book and Weston Price’s book was my third book and the second book was Broda Barnes Hypo-thyroidism, The Unsuspected Illness.”
